Report of the United Nations Asia Network for Diversity & Inclusion (UN-ANDI) survey on racism and racial discrimination in the United Nations system
The report, published in 2023, is the result of a survey conducted in June 2022 by UN-ANDI on racism and racial discrimination in the United Nations system. The survey aimed to initiate preliminary discussions among individuals of Asian nationality/origin/descent on their specific experiences of racism and racial discrimination in the United Nations system, which may differ from those of other groups. The report serves as an initial benchmarking exercise and recommends proposals to change the culture, raise awareness of key inequities and indignities suffered by the Asian community in the United Nations system, and empower the Asian community to speak up and be an active part of changes impacting them. The report sheds light on the experiences of the Asian community in the United Nations system and highlights the need for change to address the inequities and indignities they face.
